Funding for residency programs abroad
Artists and cultural agents living in Denmark who are admitted to a professional residency programme abroad can apply for funding. The Danish Arts Council covers travelling expenses (up to a maximum of Dkr 10.000,-) and offers a monthly working grant of Dkr 10.000 . The pool covers the areas of literature, music, performing arts and visual arts.
Prerequisites for attaining funding are that the artist must have been chosen or invited for the residency program on the basis of professional criteria and the stay must include a programme securing dialogue and exchange with the local art scene.
The purpose of the pool is to support the mobility of Danish artists, to strengthen artists' international networks and to promote Danish art in other countries and exchange and dialogue with the international art scene.
