An extraordinay exhibition of 110 pieces of contemporary Danish jewellery will be shown at Museo Franz Mayer. The jewelleries are from the “Jewellery Box”, a lending scheme according to which a selection of the pieces of jewellery purchased by the Danish Arts Foundation are lent to Danes who appear in a public context in Denmark or abroad. The scheme makes it possible to present the works of jewellery to the general public, as they are now worn and presented by human beings in full accordance with the actual idea of jewellery as “wearable sculptures”. Those who borrow the jewellery contribute to promoting the art of Danish jewellery and to spreading knowledge of the artists that created it. The scheme has become a huge success.
23 Danish films has been selected to be shown at the FICCO-Film Festival. The films are ranging from animated childrens films, new danish film to an important cavalvade of Carl Th. Dreyer films.
An very exiting co-production of a childbook is also taking place at the Ediciones SM, the largest publishing house in Mexico. Danish author Iselin Hermann and illustartor Rasmus Bregnhøj are working with Mexican author and illustrator Juan Gedovius to co-create a childbook. The book will be published at Ediciones SM, Mexico, and later in Denmark.
