His new works will be exhibited until April 21 in dARTex (The Danish Arts Ecxchange) which is operated by the Danish Cultural Institute in Beijing.
The title of Steffensen's exhibition, “Art History”, refers to the western style tradition Erik Steffensen met when he first visited the European museums as a young scholar. 24 years old he sat in a flight for the first time, destination Paris, and from that departure his view of the world and its art has developed in many directions. Latest but not unexpectedly his long admiration for the eastern thinking and the oriental culture has marked both everyday life and his photographically based artworks.
