Danish Film Week from April 18 - 26 in Belgrade in Kulturni Centra (Movie Bar), Kolarceva 6, Belgrade.
During the recent years Danish film has been receiving great acknowledgement worldwide. The Danish Film Week in Serbia will give the Serbian audience an excellent opportunity to enjoy the span and quality of Danish contemporary film production.
Kulturni Centar Belgrade has since 2005 been actively promoting films from the Nordic countries by organizing annual, very well attended Nordic Film Weeks. The first two years have promoted films from Iceland and Sweden. 2007 will be the year devoted to Danish films.
The Danish Film Festival in Serbia will consist of two “pillars”:
A Danish Film Week in Belgrade presenting 14 contemporary Danish feature films and 2 documentaries
A mobile Danish Film Days traveling to 8 bigger towns in Serbia. The Danish Film Days will present 4 contemporary Danish feature films and 2 documentaries - 2 films x 3 days in each town
The combination of both a film week in Belgrade and the mobile film days ensures a countrywide promotion and gives a larger audience the possibility to enjoy selected Danish films.
The Danish Ambassador to Serbia will open the Danish Film Week in Belgrade, and representatives from the Danish Embassy will be present during the opening of the Danish Film Days all over Serbia.
