The Danish Arts Agency is an administrative unit under the auspices of the Danish Ministry of Culture. It employs a staff of approximately 80 persons.

The Danish Arts Agency consists of four professional arts centres and a number of smaller, administrative and cross-disciplinary bodies:
Primary duties
The Danish Arts Agency has the following primary duties:
- To act as secretariat for the Danish Arts Foundation and the Danish Arts Council and their committees and boards of representatives and to administer a number of other grant schemes in the artistic and cultural arena.
- To administer international cultural exchange in the visual arts, literature, music, and theatre as well as the presentation of Denmark as a cultural nation.
- In addition, there are a number of independent administrative duties that the Danish Ministry of Culture has delegated to the Danish Arts Agency, including the management of Cultural Contact Point Denmark:
Cultural Contact Point Denmark
Cultural Contact Point Denmark is part of the European network of cultural contact points charged with providing information and advice about the EU's Culture 2000 programme and other subsidy schemes for the arts within the European Union.
The Danish Ministry of Culture has established Cultural Contact Point Denmark in order to promote the cultural framework programme of the European Union and the participation of Danish cultural organisations in cross-national cultural collaboration. Cultural Contact Point Denmark takes part in a network of similar Cultural Contact Points in all EU, candidate and EEA countries, and one of our tasks is to assist foreign cultural entities and organisations seeking Danish partners for projects and networks.
